The Fiscal Year 2027 federal appropriations process will include opportunities to fund local projects through Community Project Funding (CPF). This opportunity is available to nonprofit entities and state and local governments.
Our office is only accepting Department of Defense (DOD) programmatic requests.
Applicants must follow all instructions and submit your requests by March 6, 2026.
Please review House Appropriations Committee general guidance and consult the subcommittee-specific guidance for the subcommittee which your requested project would fall under.
Per the House Appropriations Committee, no project requests will be accepted in the following areas: Financial Services and General Government (FSGG); Labor, Health and Human Services, Education, and Related Agencies (LHHS); National Security and Department of State; Legislative Branch; and Defense.

- Our office can only submit 20 requests.
- There is no guarantee that you will receive funding.
Eligible grantees:
- You must be a government entity, a 501(c)3 non-profit, including institutions of higher learning.
- Be advised that some accounts require a non-federal match.
- To be considered, the project must be located within SC-06.
- The Committee on Appropriations requires that all applicants must demonstrate community support (letters of support OR press articles if available).
Supplemental Materials and Attachments:
- Each project request must be accompanied by at least three letters of support.
- You are welcome to submit additional materials to support your request.
