WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today, Congressman James E. Clyburn hailed the House passage of the Consolidated Appropriations Act, 2024. This legislation includes $233,264,279 to fund community projects in the Sixth Congressional District of South Carolina, as well as additional funding for key priorities and other legislative items. The community project funding allocations were requested by local entities to address community needs. The bill now heads to the Senate for final passage.
“I’ve dedicated my time in Congress to ensuring the federal government invests in each and every community, especially those that have been historically neglected. This funding responds directly to some of the most pressing needs in our community,” said Congressman Clyburn. “These investments will help grow our economy, improve our water supply, support our HBCUs, connect rural communities with healthcare, and more. I look forward to continuing to work with my colleagues to make America’s greatness accessible and affordable to all.”
