FY23 Community Project Funding Requests

Community Project Funding requests are a critical appropriations reform that make Congress more responsive to needs of the constituents of South Carolina’s Sixth District. Community project funding will produce projects with strong community support and restore balance on important decisions about how taxpayer dollars are spent.

We are no longer accepting FY23 Community Project Funding requests. Click here to see our FY23 Community Project Funding requests.

General Guidelines:

  • For-profit entities are NOT eligible for Community Project Funding. Only requests from governmental or non-profit entities will be considered.
  • Certain Federal programs that will fund Community Project Funding have a state or local match requirement. This does not mean that matching funds must be in-hand prior to requesting a project, but that local officials must have a plan to meet such requirements in order for such a project to be viable.
  • Requests must be for fiscal year 2023 funds only and cannot include multi-year funding.

To submit a Community Project Funding request:

  1. Click the link below corresponding to the Subcommittee that oversees the account from which you are requesting funds for your project.
  2. Download the project request form corresponding to the account from which you are requesting funds.
  3. Read the directions and complete the form with all information requested by typing your responses into each text box.
  4. Complete all supplemental questions on the template document.
  5. Save the request form document using the file name format specified on the template.
  6. Email your fully completed request to Clyburn.Appropriations@mail.house.gov. Include any necessary attachments (such as an attached budget document, letters of community support, etc.) in your email submission.
